I used to play FNaF2 when I was younger. I remember it giving me some nightmares, but nothing too notable to tell here. About a week or so ago, I decided to replay the game. It had been a while, and I wanted to relive the memories.
Thing is, I couldn't really get FNaF2. The price was pretty high for me, and I didn;t want to use my money for it. So I settled with the next best thing, I decided to hop onto Scratch, my childhood. I had a lot of memories in that site, and FNaF-related.
I searched up FNaF2 to try and find anything equivalent to the full game. While most of the results were just jumpscare simulators, art, and other stuff, I did manage to find something. It was simply called "FNAF two scratch port". This was what I was looking for. I click it, and I'm brought to the project page.
There are 2 views, so I assume I must be the first to stumble onto the port. Scratch is pretty strict when it comes to FNaF content, because it is "too scary" for kids. But I must of hit gold.
Once it finishes loading, I click the green flag. The title screen shows up. It's like a scuffed version of the main menu. Which, I understand. People can't really do much with Scratch, unless they have a good knowledge of it and how to get around certain issues.
I click New Game. Night 1, 12 am. Again, graphics are a bit choppy, but I ignore it. The usual phone call cones on, which I mute because I already know what the phone guy is going to tell me anyways... but then, well... this happens.
I check the cameras, and no animatronics are anywhere. Its like they were photoshopped out. I was weirded out by this. Maybe its just like FNaF 1 where nothing is there on the first night? But then, I switch to the Marionette's camera. It is pitch black, and the usual hold to wind button is completely gone, leaving only the timer. It was noticeably slower aswell, ticking down every 10 seconds.
So, I was curious and I waited it out... 1AM... 2AM... 3AM... the timer was nearly up... and as the timer ran out... it hit 4AM. A power out sound similar to FNaF 1 plays. I quickly flip the cameras back down, to be greeted with a dark version of the office. I can;t flip the camera up anymore, and I can't turn on the flashlight. There was no UI anymore either. All I could do is sit there and endure what was about to happen.
As the sound begins to fade out, I notice two white dots and a white grin in the hall. As I notice this however, children laughing could be heard, but low-quality... I tried to movee my hands or anything but I felt like I was hypnotized into staring at the game.
Everything goes black. The sound cuts out and everything... then the last thing I saw before my browser froze... was the Marionette.
It was missing its mask. Showing its two pupils. I couldn't close my browser, I just had to stare at this thing for what felt like ages before my computer seemly restarted by itself. I don't know what caused this, but my likely suspicion could be because of memory issues.
I did check back via. the link to see if the game was still there... but surprisingly, after I played it... the entire thing was gone. Even the account.
I don't want to play anything like that again.
